AREA MANAGER
FLEXIBLE DUTY
As part of our Strategic Leadership Team, this role will play a key part in setting and implementing our corporate strategy and contributing to our organisational development agenda.
As a Competent Group Manager with a proven leadership record and high level inter-personal skills, you will already have extensive experience of establishing policy, setting priorities, managing projects and achieving results through multi-disciplinary teams.
You will need to be comfortable in leading change, and have an inclusive style which encourages engagement and allows you to positively influence agenda’s and outcomes. Your personal integrity and values will be reflected in your approach to everything you do.
As a proven team player, you will be adept at building effective relationships and have the ability to motivate and lead others and deliver innovative solutions.
You will be required to hold a management qualification at Level 5 or above and be competent at Incident Command Level 3. You will have the confidence and desire to develop and implement strategy and the personal qualities that will inspire others to deliver high quality services.
This is an operational role attracting a flexible duty allowance.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (1 permanent role and 1 fixed term contract until 30/04/22)
£24,982 - £27,041 pa. plus, additional on-call payments for providing out-of-hours rota
Full-time: 37 hours per week (normally Monday-Friday), plus out of hours cover (based on a one-week-in-four rota)
Location: Based at Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters, Bestwood Lodge, Nottingham
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and engaging communications expert to join our Team!
No two days are the same working in our Corporate Communications team, from planning and delivering communications campaigns that will help change people’s lives, to supporting colleagues dealing with serious incidents, to delivering internal and external communications through our Corporate newsletter, engaging with the media and supporting workstreams across all our functions.
Using a full range of communications channels, you’ll need to think fast, have excellent written communication skills and be confident and creative on social media. A great news sense is a must as well as having the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels, to support the delivery of high quality internal and external communications.
Due to the nature of the role you will need a full driving licence, as you will be required to travel and will be part of an out-of-hours rota.
